Artist Statement

When I create a new piece of atmospheric work I am holding the energy of emotion in my heart and in my mind’s eye. Just as the quality of sunlight changes every single moment so the does the energy of our feelings. My abstract work represents a moment of visual permanence in an unseen but deeply felt emotional landscape. I work in an intuitive manner allowing each gesture to lead to the next until I come to a place of contentment with the piece. I am inspired to create art that brings my inner experience to the canvas.
